Equestria is a world of manifestation. Pegasus wings therein cannot develop the lift necessary for flight, but they still make flight possible because they exist! Form follows function, the function being an illusion of lift.

Bat wings are even more similar to human arms - they have fingers, albeit ones of really odd lengths. It's funky, you should check it out.

Yeah I know, I've studied Bat wings a lot too. It's just, Feathered wings are more common, and that's usually what people have trouble with~

Yeah, it makes sense that they'd have more trouble with bird wings (or in this case, pony wings). You can't see the underlying structure through all the feathers.

like chickens, maybe they are located in the vertebral column sides but in the original pegasi they are below the ribs, in the middle of the body.
